Programmes and specialisations

We provide a proven and practical engineering degree programme with majors in Mechanical Engineering and Mechatronics and a number of postgraduate options.

Undergraduate programmes

Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) in Mechanical Engineering
This degree provides knowledge in the engineering sciences and the skills to communicate and apply that knowledge.

Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) in Mechatronics Engineering
This degree will give you a broad base in mechanical engineering with additional knowledge and skills in electronics and computer systems related areas.

Postgraduate programmes

Doctor of Philosophy (PhD)
A programme of extensive, advanced study and independent research that is carried out under qualified supervision.

Master of Engineering (ME)
A research degree involving a thesis. A research topic is agreed and relevant background reading is needed before being admitted.

Master of Engineering Studies (MEngSt)
This is a taught masters degree. It is available in non-specialised areas and a number of specialisations.

Master of Engineering Studies in Medical Devices and Technologies (MEngStMedDevTech)
Available as both a research and taught degree focussing on innovative medical devices and technologies.

Master of Engineering Management (MEMgt)
This programme is designed to accelerate the development of engineering management expertise amongst professional engineers early in their career.

Postgraduate Certificate in Engineering - Plastics (PGCertEng)
This programme is designed to be completed through part-time study for students in full-time industry employment.
